2009 Focus on Life Benefit Dinner
The 2009 Focus on Life benefit dinner was Thursday, October 29, 2009.
We were extremely delighted that Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, President of Human Life International, delivered the keynote address.
Over 200 guests attended the 2009 Focus on Life Dinner, with our featured guest speaker Fr. Thomas Euteneuer who is President of Human Life International.
Fr. Euteneuer shared stories of his prolife mission from countries around the world and said that we are in a spiritual warfare with good and evil. He believes the evil forces are promoting a culture of death in our society with abortion being the leading aspect and says all citizens need to stand up and get involved.
He urged all to pray for our culture, clergy, government leaders and the prolife movement. Fr. Euteneuer believes that prayer has already led to the conversions of Norma McCorvey, "Jan Roe" in Roe v. Wade and a doctor with the largest abortion clinic in New York to become involved in the prolife movement.
He told guests, "We (America) are on the brink of becoming a totally anti-life society," and are heading down a slippery slope in becoming like China, Cuba and Vietnam where they have the highest abortion rates in the world. Those country's governments impose and promote abortion in their culture.
This years Dinner was inspiring to many and encouraged all to continue praying for our country and working with the prolife movement to make a change in our culture.
Fr. Euteneuer called the killing of Terri Schiavo and those of the unborn our country's greatest injustice. Bobby Schindler, brother of Terri Schiavo, will be the guest speaker at the 2010 Focus on Life Dinner. Terri Schiavo, a disabled woman, became national news when her husband allowed her to die over a thirteen day period by withholding food and water, even after pleas from her own family.
