
Monroe County Right to Life's 2009 Baby Contest
Contest Baby Categories: Ages 37 months to 4 years will compete for King and Queen
AND Newborn to 36 months will compete for Prince and Princess.
The contest will be held during the Monroe County Fair Week at the
Monroe County Right to Life Booth, beginning on Sun., August 2nd and ending on Fri., August 7th.
There is a $5.00 fee per baby to enter the contest. Just send a photo (one per child),
3 x 5 or 5 x 7 (no larger) with the entry fee and form below.
Voting will be held at the Monroe County Right to Life Fair Booth in the MBT Expo Center. Votes will be made by fair visitors; one cent per vote. For example, $1.00 = 100 votes.
1st and 2nd place winners will win prizes from local merchants.
King, Queen, Prince and Princess winners and runner-ups will be announced on
Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Fair Band Shell.
Terms of the Baby Contest:
-- MCRTL will begin accepting entries on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. The first 60 entries will be accepted by category. Categories: (30 boys = (15 King/15 Prince) & 30 girls = (15 Queen/15 Princess), all others will be held on a waiting list should a cancellation occur. If your baby is not accepted into the contest, your entry will be returned after Fair Week.
-- All babies must be a Monroe County resident to enter contest.
-- $5.00 entry fee must accompany Entry Form with the baby photo. Please make Check or Money Order payable to Monroe County Right to Life. Do not send cash.
-- Final entry date is Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Late entries will not be accepted.
-- Final contestants will be notified on or by July 16, 2009 by Monroe County Right to Life Fair Coordinator.
-- All contestants must participate in the Fair Parade on Sunday, August 2, 2009. Babies need to be pulled in a wagon or stroller float. Prize will be given to the best-decorated baby float also voted on by fair visitors and announced with the Baby Contest winners.
-- All winners must be present at announcement to accept prizes. Prizes will not be delivered.
-- Event is coordinated by the Monroe County Right to Life and sponsored by local merchants.
